So you’ve been dating your boyfriend for a while and need some excitement? I’m thinking about this too you know. So, i’ve done a little research on the internet. #told you semester holidays were bored *sigh

The following ideas are to show that you truly care for your man.
1. MAKE HIM DINNER- Call it ‘old fashioned’ but every man loves a home cooked meal – especially when it’s handmade by the woman he loves. If you don’t know how to cook, look online.
Like seriously, banyak gila kowt recipe yang simple but interesting enough for us to make. J - Remember ek: This meal is for HIM. Try to make something that is special to him, or something you know he will like.
**as for me, I myself is not a good cook. Masak nasi pun tak reti. Sorry , sayang. Em. So, to those yang macam saya, prepare your meal as simple as you can. Make sure it is super easy and light, but still boleh buat sayang anda suka. Barulah tak sia-sia usaha tu kan? J
2. PLAN A DAY TIME HIKE/ PICNIC /CYCLING : After a long week of studying, you probably want to spend some time outside with your loved one kan? And by going outside I don’t mean – hitting up the mall to go shopping ok?-( although I always did this ;) ). Spend some quality time with your boyfriend. Take a hike! While on your hike: Take time to appreciate it. Don’t rush to the end of the trail, so that you can get it over with. Enjoy the special time together- this is a great time without other distractions - just you, him, and nature.
- Huh, sweet aite? LOL bila ntah nak hiking/cycling with you, sayang? Broga Hill jum? Haha.
3. MAKE A MEANINGFUL CD / PLAYLIST – I know this sounds ‘teeny boopy’ but sometimes it’s good to reconnect with your ‘inner child’.
- If you want to STEP IT UP, accompany your CD with a handwritten book of why you picked the songs, what lyrics you liked, and decorate it.
- This is one of those sentimental gifts that you never really expect.
- Just like me and my sayang, couples usually have “special” songs kan? I believe that this is a great way to remind him of those “special” songs and memories.
- Girls, I’m about to do this. So why don’t we start to do this together? Come on! Haha.
4. SEND HIM A PICTURE TEXT MESSAGE-No, it doesn’t have to be risque…. it can even be a picture of a restaurant you two enjoy…. it’s always flattering to know that you are on someone’s mind.
I did this once you know. I send him a heart picture with the word ‘I Love You’ in it. Em. Something like that I believe. And he replied me with a text saying ; I Love You Too.
Guess what I replied? Haha.
I texted him saying; No, I love you more. Sebab I hantar MMS. Mahal sikit. Haha.
HAHA. Silly me, huh? LOL
5. TRY TO HANG OUT WITH HIS BUDDIES- Just like you want your friends to like him, he wants his friends to like you. So initiate hanging out with them. This is a great way to win points with his buddies too.
- Show your boyfriend that you don’t have to always be the lovey-dovey couple, and you can be the ‘guys’ girl.
**i don’t really know all his friends but I do know some. I even met a few of them though. it was a bit awkward , but get over it okay. It’s gonna worth it tau.
- The more approval you get from his buddies, the more he’ll appreciate you.
6. LOOK GOOD FOR HIM – Sometimes, you can always GO ALL OUT right? Remember when you first started dating ?He couldn’t keep his hands off you? Remember when you cared what you looked like around him? Sometimes we let ‘comfort’ turn into ‘laziness’. This happens to me too ok. If you are obviously a lazy person like I am, be careful. Dont let it affects the way you dress. So put in a little effort and WOW him. He’ll appreciate it.
7. BUY / MAKE HIM A RANDOM, PERSONALIZED CARD: There are cards for every occasion. Maybe things are perfect and you want to thank him for loving you. Or maybe he’s been having a tough time at studying or work and you want to let him know that you believe in him. Or maybe you two have been fighting and you want to make amends. What ever the situation is/are, you can find a card for it. Even if you think there isn’t a situation – a card can put a smile on his face. Getting him a meaningful card will show that you are thinking about him. But if you really cannot find any suitable card, don’t worry much. Make it yourself! That way he will appreciate it more. J
8.MAKE HIM A VIDEO – I always wanna do this. I really wanna dedicate him with something very sweet. I have lots in mind but I didnt even start with anything yet. Here are some suggestion. You can play him guitar while singing a very cute, romantic song. Or you can collect all of your pictures being together and compile them in a video. You can publish them in Facebook or to make it private, save it in CD and give him as a present. That is sweet!
9.SIT IN FRONT OF A FIRE TOGETHER- Snuggle up together in front of the fireplace. This is very romantic. Trust me on this. Well yeah, we did this already. In Port Dickson. Haha. If you don't have a fire place, consider buying an electric one, these look realistic, and are still romantic. LOL
10.LISTEN TO HIM TALK- and keep your yapping to yourself. Ever realize the dynamics of your conversations with your boyfriend? If you are anything like me, it’s probably 60% me, 40% boyfriend (or worse). Guys may not like to gossip as much, but they do have the rights to talk. So, sometimes I think we should let him talk- and take it in. Listen to him for once. Maybe, he’ll feel better after he is able to vent about work, friends, money, etc. I don’t know if this helps, it’s just a tip anyway. My sayang called just now and I asked him about this and he said that he’s okay with me blabbering all the way I want and he may not find it bored because he loves to hear me talking about all those craps. Well, that’s my boy. How is yours? Better ask! J
Again, these are just suggestions. The bottom line is – SHOW HIM THAT YOU CARE. If you don’t have a lot of money, don’t worry. It’s not about buying him things, and getting him extravagant gifts. It’s showing him that you care, that you value him as a person, and that you want to make him happy.
